The Oklahoma Association of Minorities in Career and Technology Education (OAMCTE) was organized on August 3, 1988. It is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting greater participation of minorities in all facets of career and technology education in the state of Oklahoma.
What we offer
Leadership Development - encourage and support the development of leaders at the local, state, and national level.
Student Support - provide scholarships for students to continue their education.
Networking Opportunities - create a supportive environment to build relationships with members and community partners across the state.
Career Advancement - support members to pursue positions of leadership.

Member participation and support is vital to the success of meeting our goals. We encourage you to join us in these efforts and increase awareness of our purpose.
Influence the development and implementation of policies that promote cultural diversity and enhance employment opportunities and advancement of minorities in all areas and levels of the Oklahoma Career and Technology Education system.
Promote and encourage minority students to pursue training and careers in the Career and Technology Education system.
Develop and promote activities to enhance the positive image and visibility of OAMCTE.
Provide activities that enhance the continued professional development of members.
Establish and maintain a working relationship with local and state elected officials.
Share membership and general information with other agencies and/or institutions interested in supporting the mission of OAMCTE.
