What We Do

OAMCTE provides two scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 each to deserving minority students who plan to continue their education. Scholarship applications are available in April and are due in May each year. Scholarship recipients are recognized during the Oklahoma Summit (formerly Summer Conference) in August.

OAMCTE sponsors an annual Essay Contest for high school students. Students are asked to write an essay on the topic “Why I Chose Career & Technology Education as Part of My Career Path”. The contest is held in March and essays are due in April of each year.

OAMCTE has awarded over $25,000 in scholarships and over $4,000 to essay contest participants.

OAMCTE holds its annual meeting during summer conference, and hosts an annual reception for the purpose of networking with CTE professionals. Also, technology centers receive accolades for their commitment to diversity and recognition as institutional members. OAMCTE relies on the support of its institutional members to assist in funding this event. This event is well attended and is open to members and guests.
