OAMCTE scholarships and awards
We have awarded more than $25,000 in scholarships and $4,000 to essay contest participants.
Every year we raise funds to provide two scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 each to deserving minority students who plan to continue their education. Scholarship applications are available in January and due in April each year. Scholarship recipients are selected by committtee and recognized during the Oklahoma Summit in August.
OAMCTE sponsors an annual Essay Contest for high school students. Students are asked to write an essay on the topic “Why I Chose Career & Technology Education as Part of My Career Path”. The contest is held in March and essays are due in April of each year. A monetary award is provided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
